Vick Makes a Change

Michael Vick had it all, he came from nothing and turned into an idol to all, young and old. He started playing at his home town boys and girls club and in 7th grade, the high school coach knew Michael had something special. He was on the top of the world of football when he became a star in high school, even though he was not the #1 high school quarter back, he turned himself into the most known. Then he took his talents to college at Virginia Tech though Syracuse wanted him desperately. Michael wanted to stay close to home. Vick got drafted by the Atlanta Falcons after college and was at the top of his game and almost took the Falcons to the top. Then he got mixed up with the wrong crowd. Sure, he was the face of hip hop and getting involved with people of his projects but something changed when a man came up to him with an idea that would change Vick's life forever. Dog fighting. Vick jumped at the opportunity to be involved, he even bought a house just for fighting dogs. Little did Vick know, this would be the end of his credibility with a lot of people. When he got caught after what was supposed to be a drug investigation, he took responsibility and was sent to prison for 18 months. He had a lot of time to think and reflect on his decisions he has made, he wondered what type of person he wanted to be. Then when his sentence was over, he reached out to a quarter back friend on the Eagles for some help. Immediately the Eagles head coach added him to the team and soon, Vick was the Eagles starting quarter back. He was back on his feet, he was a star again in the NFL and to his community. He was giving back and being the person he has always wanted to be, but, his past will always be there to haunt him. Though he did what he did, he was still able to pull himself from the ashes and start over. Even though some people can never forget what he did, Vick knows that he will never go back to those ways ever again, he wants to be on top and plans to stay that way in whatever he does.
